Who was digging into the game trying its limits, probably knows that there is hidden unfinished area in the SOTN on PSX, the castle garden, It was later released as playable area. (in sega) Entry is just at the start point of the game, you might have noticed the stone like door there, but it was left abandoned. (although there is safe room there in PSX version) It would be pity to leave it forgotten in SOTNH, as it has place for some boss fight at the end of the garden, treasure... or maybe wraith of Adrian's mother?
Name of zone is underground garden, in reversed castle hell garden Clearly it was not really finished in sega version either. Gives a lot of freedom for us.

I think there could be some play with the seasons of the year, maybe having consecutive rooms replicate each other except for the time of the year: For Spring (which I should recommend as the first of said rooms), a more typical set of enemies, akin to that of the original underground garden (some of them could quickly reproduce themselves on a Hard mode, making more difficult eliminating them), and the background would be made from lavish vegetation, like the one here and there For Summer it would be a good idea to employ some burning effects on the plat-life(maybe like a certain cutscene on DoS, were Dario burns the vegetation of a room). The enemies could be mostly representing the heat of said season (something like the efreets from the Hell Garden ). It could be a good idea to place a few pools, upon their contact said enemies would get away. For Autumn maybe a sea of dead leaves like on this LoS2 concept The playable character would walk over the leaves, slowly sinking under their weight. Maybe a enemie could be placed that would roam on that sea of leaves, and could trap and harm the playable character, or a hidden room that required the character to sink completely (just like in PoR, on Sandy Grave) For Winter, maybe a having a few Ice stalagtites as a stage hazard, all the vegetation dead ("without leaves and with a darker palette") and a blueish aura to the overall appearance of the room. The enemies would be mainly black ravens (they just look great against a mainly white background) and the character woul have to speed up least he wanted to quickly loose health and, subsequently freeze to death. For the Reverse Castle equivalent, it would be idea to have an area that shares only the architectural outline of the Underground garden, but has a different theme. I think the nest for a feral creature (maybe a worthy Werewolf, not like the ones on the Colesseum) would be a compelling idea. The rooms that on the normal garden represented the different seasons would in this time be several layers of protection. The character would have to destroy them and navigate through the tight space open.

Now you really stroke me by surprise, this is really really neat! Winter could also include freezing magic, like a trap or place, where when Alucard steps, he get frozen and has to break away from the ice block just like from being turned into stone.
But I think about putting spring and autumn to normal castle and summer and winter to the inverted one. First two being mild, while other two being extreme.
Putting a Werewolf or some creature to the hell gardens sounds really good. Something with both frost and fire attacks would be interesting. And mild underground garden would be lovely place for Carmilla boss. Would be interesting the way when Alucard enter the room where she is, she smells a rose and offers it to Al, who comes and take it, she tries to bite him and he backdashes, beggining the boss fight.

Actualy, thinking got me to idea for hell garden boss too. First I thought about something ice/fire, like duo of werewolves, then I thought about undead and rotting fire demon suffering of freeze, but then it hit me way better. Something nature connected, undead centaur. And I made very sick concept for one... Isha is very sick idea, but I love it on many levels. Extremes garden in inverted castle is like destroyed place of love, a paradise, which comes to this "centaur" heresy, as it is sewed from male and female. Isha means "Shemale" in translation from Hebrew. And this is lovely sick heresy of symbolism of woman growing from male's rib. And there is also that added tail of serpent. Same wretched being as the hell garden. But I'm going to need help with the attacks. My only idea is rather humorous, that if Alucard gets to this one from behind, he is kicked and flies away some distance.
