Hey everyone. This position is on a more long term basis. I am looking for 1-3 spriters and/or effects specialists who can, in general, just create better special effects for the game. Along with being able to advise me on how to make the game just look overall more beautiful. This includes things like adding glow to flame sprites, creating projectiles like flame pillars, ice blasts, lightning, etc. Someone who knows a bit about particles and a lot about blend modes would be very helpful here too, especially if he/she has Unity knowledge. These effects/sprites can be limited in color count but are generally more HD. It depends on what they are for. Some examples of effects I have had made before can be found below to clarify what I mean:

Depending on the terms of our agreement and what you will do, this can be a paid position (which is my intent). The person who volunteers for this should have 10-20 hours a week to work on it and know how to use Photoshop particles, effects, blend modes, etc. The artist must know the basics of spriting such as palette limitations, being able to use different layers, and (in the case of animated objects) knowing how to create simple animations to show me his/her results. Being able to follow directions is extremely important too. And creativity is a MAJOR must here because there are so many ways to do special effects that it is mind-boggling.
Anyone who wishes to apply, please respond to this thread with examples of your previous work. In the case of actual sprites, you must be able to sprite up to the standards of the original SOTN game or better. Nothing less can be accepted.
All payments will be done via paypal in USD and are done as you complete things. Also, all communications will be done via Skype by text and audio chat so you will want to have a mic to be able to communicate back with me. It is much quicker and easier giving the artist directions via a skype call than writing a wall of text. It also gives the person the chance to make suggestions and/or ask questions.
Please note: everyone gets only 1 chance to apply. So bring your A-game. Thanks in advance.
