For those who don't know which track this is, see this video here.
I am looking for an upgraded version to this classic nes track. As in for someone to remake it with modern instruments so that it will fit into SOTN. I still want it to be very fast-paced and hard hitting. It may also need to be extended slightly so that it isn't just the same thing repeating over and over. The track was this short for the NES only because of hardware limitations. But I'd like to get the basic song remade first because once we have the instruments figured out, the rest becomes MUCH simpler to do. Either way, it doesn't need to be very long, just possibly extended enough that it isn't the same thing played and over every 20 seconds. Which gets annoying fast.
I am intending to use this for the last stage of the game before Dracula's. So I definitely want something with a bit of a feeling of finality to it. Some cymbals thrown in for when the track hits (at 0:28) is pretty much the only specific direction I have in reference to what instruments I want used.
To give everyone an idea of what level of quality I am looking for, here are 2 EXCELLENT remakes of classic songs. Both found in the Castlevania Arcade game:
Wicked Child: Nightmare:
Anyone who wants to contribute, please post your results here so that everyone can see them. This will come in handy in modifying them as needed (if I chose to do so for one) as I am not a musician and may have trouble putting into technical terms what I need. But other users MAY be able to assist in doing so.
DO NOT PM me or make a new thread elsewhere. Anyone who does so receives an insta-block for not following directions.
Let's see what you guys come up with! Thanks in advance.

It definitely would need to be extended. 1:07 would be WAY too short.

Hi Esco, just arrived here to show you a guy from Brazil i just met now in youtube, he has the best remastered version os gba musics i already heard, and I heard a lot of castlevania musics all these years
The quality of sound is far ahead of every rearranged version i listened, it's the more closer to castlevania Symphony of the Night we can get

I produce video game music and covers with real instruments all the time. Was planning doing a bunch SOTN soon. If you ever need anything I'd be glad to contribute.

I made a little test on the Riddle track. Take a look. (I made it short because it is a test... it can last as long as you wish). Also, it's a bonus if you have headphones to listen to it Note: All the instruments CAN BE CHANGED in a matter of minutes.

What I hear at 0:16 sounds like a mistake, it disturbs me. And I it is there twice. But still this is incredible work...

This is the best riddle track yet. Here is the feedback I have on it:
*The intro from 0:00 to 0:08 is amazing *at 0:08 it transitions too quickly to the next part which sounds funny. I know the original did this too. But here it sounds odd. *After 0:23 I don't hear any more cymbals (were there drums at the same time with them?). And it sounds like the song is incomplete/missing instruments from that point on. Especially around the 0:30 seconds mark on before it loops again where I would think it would have been a great time to put some more in each time the beat "hits." Which I said in my original post too: "Some cymbals thrown in for when the track hits (at 0:28) is pretty much the only specific direction I have in reference to what instruments I want used." *It would definitely need to be extended. *BTW I have no idea what Morrell is talking about above. I heard nothing wrong at 0:16.
Thus far this is excellent though. And the only potential one that I have gotten so far for this track that I really liked. I would definitely like to see this track developed more.

I was about to post here again. Yep, it was incomplete hahaha. And I think I figured out the mistake that Morrel pointed.
I also changed the Tempo at the Intro. It felt odd to me as well.
Well... Here it is. Take 2
Ps. About Streching the track: It's EASY \o/

Last time for the day haha I still wasn't happy with the tempo, so I changed it a little bit further... Feels very nice to me now Also added more Cymbals Let me now if there's anything at fault. Ps. And if you feel it's too much of the same I can write a new part for this piece... Anyway, let me know what you think.

Wow. Very Impressive. I love how hard it starts to hit at 0:23. But then at 0:30 until around 0:36 it softens up. Which I don't like. Especially since that is like the high point of the song basically where it ends and then basically starts to loop. You could try adding more cymbal crashes on beat in that range or some of the other instruments from 0:23 to 0:29. Not sure. Yes, what I meant by "extending it" was writing a new part. Not just increasing the length. That's exactly what I wanted. And yes, the one in your bottommost post thus far is definitely the best.

The last is the best to listen to. That's for sure. Must admit that it is far beyond me to recognize all used instruments, I'm not into doing music, only into listening to it. This would be amazing boss music, as it is quite wild one, I can hear some touch of insanity there. I think that the beginning of the song hold interesting idea for new part. Esco seems to be having very specific idea in his mind and seems to be a good one... I wanna see it... or rather hear it, as it already sounds a lot like SOTN music, quite a treasure. This rework reminds me of "Beneath the surface," which is much slower and yet dark the same.

I made a few upgrades here and there and tried out an intro. Don't know what to think about it. Sounds accurate but I need to know if it suits the moment it will be in the game.
P.S. I'm writing a solo section for the next test, but the result will depend on the feedback of the "new intro"
P.S². Also, don't worry if you think that I should delete this new intro. It's not a problem if I should get rid of it.

KV: Please check your PM's. Also, sorry but no this doesn't work. It has too much in it and a number of instruments seem to stick out. The track even sounds a little choppy in some places. The previous one sounded better and there is no need to change stuff that I already approved and said was good. That is, in fact, heavily frowned upon. That is a good intro, but it sounds out of place for this track as is. It would need some kind of transition to the main beat. If you'd like I can also discuss what I'm looking for via Skype in more detail. Either way, please PM me. Thanks again!
