Hey everyone. While I am looking for artists to create textures and stage objects on a more long term basis, currently the new stage 1 is still my focus. For those who don't know, this stage consists of 3 parts:
1)Graveyard portions (which I have the entire concept info setup for)
2)A chapel vertical portion (which I also have more than enough concept info for)
3)A town portion (concept info somewhat complete)
I am looking for a spriter to help me create objects such as trees, floor, background objects, etc. Note that these new stages will not use actual tiles, but object like in the image below, which I can then paste around over and over as needed. Which is much easier than breaking things up into little 8x8 or 16x16 squares.
This is a paid position. The person who volunteers for this should have 20-30 hours a week free to work on it and be prepared to see it thru to completion. Depending on the results I get, a more long term position may be offered afterwards. The artist must know the basics of spriting such as palette limitations, being able to use different layers, and (in the case of animated objects) knowing how to create simple animations to show me his/her results. Being able to follow directions is extremely important too. As is creativity as I like to give my artists the chance to add their personal touches to things.
Anyone who wishes to apply, please respond to this thread with examples of your previous work. You must be able to sprite up to the standards of the original SOTN game or better. Nothing less can be accepted. Sprite work only.
All payments will be done via paypal in USD and are done as you complete things, with a bonus being offered for completing the whole job as well. Also, all communications will be done via Skype via text and audio chat so you will want to have a mic to be able to communicate back with me. It is much quicker and easier giving the artist directions via a skype call than writing a wall of text. It also gives the person the chance to make suggestions and/or ask questions.
Please note: everyone gets only 1 chance to apply. So bring your A-game. Thanks in advance.
